about

Rebecca McBride is a singer, songwriter, and violinist whose music blends cinematic emotion with pop accessibility. Known for her haunting vocals, raw honesty, and expressive string work, her songs have been featured on hit TV shows like Grey’s Anatomy, Love Is Blind, Love Island, and Selling Sunset.

Born and raised in Newark, Delaware, Rebecca began studying classical violin at two years old. At age ten, everything changed when she saw Taylor Swift live on the Fearless tour — igniting her love for pop music and storytelling. She soon taught herself piano and guitar, and began writing songs inspired by artists like Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Lana Del Rey, and The Civil Wars.

Rebecca went on to study Songwriting and Film Scoring at Berklee College of Music in Boston, where she honed her craft and developed her distinct voice as both a solo artist and a collaborator. Her writing style draws from the emotional punch of Top 40 pop — with unforgettable hooks, layered production, and lyrics that are both vulnerable and sharp. She’s often compared to artists like Lizzy McAlpine and Gracie Abrams, but her sound always carries a personal, cinematic edge.

Now based in Los Angeles, Rebecca continues to write and record for artists, film/TV, and her own artist project. She brings a unique versatility to her work — offering vocals, custom songwriting, and violin across genres ranging from indie pop and folk to EDM and Americana. She’s also passionate about sync, a cappella, and scoring for visual media, with plans to expand her footprint in all three.

Whether she’s composing a string arrangement, building a vocal stack, or writing a song you can’t get out of your head, Rebecca’s music is always rooted in story, honesty, and emotional connection.
